Following an extremely satisfying bloodletting versus the University of _yoming (where they, yet again, failed to leave with a “W”), Boise State head football coach Andy Avalos met with the media to recap the game. George Holani and Andrew Simpson also took their turns at the microphone and two things became very clear: George is equally beside-himself excited about the success of the younger running backs and being back on the field and (from Simpson) this very young defense is growing up and the results are exciting.

Agreed. Holani can be really special in open space, so third downs and other passing situations would be a good split with Jeanty. Jeanty is exceptional breaking tackles and banging the rock between the tackles. He’s also exceptional catching the ball to be honest but it’s a good split that utilizes both of those players’ skill sets.
I’m all for Holani getting carry’s. He has earned it and he is talented enough to warrant them. But it should not be at the expense of Jeanty’s carry’s. He is the clear starter and is a game changer.
