Welcome back to all. Football season inches ever closer, and what a beautiful thing that is. Today we’ve reached 55, a nameless number, but perhaps it could be the new number for Mr. Chase Martin.
#??, Chase Martin, Freshman, LB

Stats
Height: 6’1
Weight: 205
High school: Thousand Oaks HS (Thousand Oaks, CA)
How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
The race for Chase heated up late in the recruiting cycle. Up until last November, his only offers were Ohio and a few Mountain West schools. The next few weeks heated up with Baylor and Wazzu entering the race. Then, in December, Chase got an offer he couldn’t refuse. One of the winningest programs in the country, 3-time Fiesta Bowl winner and national darling, the Boise State Broncos sent an offer his way, 2 weeks before signing day. He visited the next day, and signed the dotted line on signing day.
Nickname
“Chase Taylen”
I don’t know who Martin is, but realitically it will be Taylen that Chase will spend next year chasing in practice. Gooooood luck.
Look-alike

Martin shares a striking resemblance to Penn State walk-on phenom Chad Powers. Certainly there is no doubt Chase could beat him in a race, but I’d contend he could also win a few super bowls too someday.
Career Highlights
Obviously nothing on the Blue yet, but do enjoy his highlights from his time at Thousand Oaks.
2023 Prospectus
With Avalos captaining the ship, I’m always enthusiastic about our LB core. I think Chase is probably a generation behind at the moment, but expect to see him more and more starting next season. I have a feeling Chase could be the steal of this class.
Is he on Twitter?
He is! @chasemartin_12. Mostly retweets, but you’ll catch a few tweets here and there.
Completely made up fact
Chase is a passionate ambassador for the imperial system of measurement in the world. He often goes on charity trips to Europe, teaching that feet and inches are more practical means of measurement, and that Fahrenheit is optimal for describing human temperature.

Most of the look-alikes, I groan. However, on this one, you nailed it. I’m even wondering if Boise State isn’t being puncked on this one. “Here we go baby; think fast, run fast.”
