After the unfortunate events that transpired versus Nevada earlier this week, no one could be certain how the Broncos would respond. But, as Leon said, and as Boise State has proven all season, they’re a very resilient group.

After leading for most of the first half, the Broncos went into the locker room on top. SDSU came out and started chipping away at the Broncos’ lead until they not only led, but did so by 10 points multiple times. However, some late game heroics pulled the score even as regulation expired. Agbo hit one to tie the game up with 52 seconds left, but then after SDSU answered, Anderson forced overtime with 7.2 seconds left:

Once the game was in OT, Max Rice got the people going (of the small BSU contingent in SDSU) when he sunk one of the most impressive shots of his career. Cam Martin ended up capping off OT by–NBD–downing the Aztecs via free throws to give San Diego State their first loss at home all season!

For context on how impressive this win was, we go to local NBC affiliate pointman and stats guru, Jay Tust, because this just too complicated to be explained by mere mortals:

*Booooom*

For further context on the win:

The Broncos will have to wait for the rest of the conference games to play out Saturday before they find out final seeding for the conference tournament, but no matter what, this was an incredibly exciting finish to a great regular season.

How many times did you watch the clip of Max Rice nailing that three? Let us know in the comments below!

Go Broncos!
