We’ve made it to the 80s, Bronco Nation. Time just keeps ticking away, and every day we get closer and closer to August 31 (a given, I know but sometimes it just seems forever away). Today we take a look at a talented wide receiver from the sunshine state with some very interesting connections!

#89, Jackson Grier, RS Freshman, WR

Credit: Broncosports.com

Stats

Height: 5’11

Weight: 183

High School: St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

A three star wide receiver, Grier helped St. Thomas Aquinas win its third consecutive 7A State Championship. Grier knew what he wanted out of high school, only taking one visit and committing just one week after the Broncos offered.

Nickname

“Mr. Well Connected”

You could say Jackson comes from a heck of an athletic family, and honestly, that’s probably an understatement. His dad is Chris Grier, the GM for the Dolphins. His Brother Landon plays DB at South Carolina, his Uncle Mike Grier played over a thousand games in the NHL, and his Grandfather Bobby Grier played running back at Iowa and was a front office executive for the Patriots and the Texans. So yeah, well connected.

Look-alike

Our Celebrity Look Alike Machine had a tough time with Jackson, but it did suggest Anthony Mackie, the new Captain America. I can get behind it!

Career Highlights

Jackson took a red shirt last year, but winning as much as he did in high school at the highest level of Florida competition is no joke. Safe to say, he has something to contribute to the Broncos!

2024 Prospects

The wide receiver room is an interesting place this year. Some big names have departed, and some very big names have come in. It’s hard to say who will get what touches, but familiarity with the playbook will be good for the offense, so Jackson has a shot at snaps.

Is he on Twitter?

Yes he is! @jackson_grier is where you will find him!

Completely made up fact

Rumor has it Jackson’s father likes Boise State so much after the signed his son, that he wants to turn the Dolphins into the Cowboys 2.0, with a majority of the starting line up coming from Boise State.
