We are now the same number of days away from the season as the number of men O-ren Ishii had in her private army in Kill Bill Volume I: 88

How’d he get to The Blue™?
Previously committed to North Texas Mr. Wagner decided to flip his commitment to the Broncos back in December ’22. That’s another dub in a one-on-one vs the Mean Green (note: I thought that was just a nickname for the football team, I didn’t realize it was their actual athletic name?).
Wagner had other offers from Tulane and some dude named Lamar. Georgetown also offered him. So that’s cool. Wagner definitely made the correct decision.
Nickname
“The Composer”
In order to make this one work, we’re just going to have to pretend his last name is pronounced a little differently…
Look-alike

Former Boise State assistant coach (including Tight Ends), Kent Riddle. But, you know…in like 25 years.
Career Highlights
As a senior at Rock Hill, Wagner had 592 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 10 games. His high school highlights can be viewed here.
So far, despite making it into four games last year, he has not yet logged any statistics at the FBS level.
2024 Prospectus
Primarily, it’s clear that Boise State is first and foremost going to be a running team this season. However, it must be noted that Boise State seems poised to return to a style of football from when they utilized tight ends far more, with Dirk Koetter coming back to coach the offense again. Only two tight ends caught passes for the Broncos last year and one of them, Riley Smith, is no longer on the roster. The other, Matt Lauter is likely to be the top tight end. Behind him, there are more experienced options coming back, with Luke Vorhees and Austin Terry, but I expect this to be a true competition for snaps among the other tight ends on the roster and Wagner has as good of a shot at playing time as anyone else.
Is he on Twitter?
Yep.
Completely made up fact
Wagner had the misfortune of having a name that’s spelled the same as a famous composer, but his gift is actually composition of another kind: He is a prolific creator of haikus.
