Brutally honest take: Dr. Tromp is super nice and very enthusiastic about BSU athletics, so it’s confusing that Dickey’s future in Boise seems in question. And if the most impactful AD we’ve had since Bleymeier slips away when it seems like it would be very easy to retain him, it’s going to be very hard to look past a disappointment of that magnitude.

I don’t think anyone should obsess over retaining or losing Dickey. Whatever happens, happens. The concern is hiring someone who is not as good as he has been. but who’s to say the Broncos couldn’t hire somebody better?
