I like my Saturdays. Especially in the summer since my kids have lost track of the days, I can actually feel like I am not on the short end of the “being busy” stick. That said, today marks 56 Days until kickoff so we have — DE Mason Jacobsen

#56, Mason Jacobsen, RS Sophomore, Defensive End

Stats
Height: 6′ 2″
Weight: 248 lbs
High school: Rocky Mountain HS, Belgrade, MT
How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Mr. Jacobsen played both sides of the ball for Rocky Mountain and was super-busy all over the field (halfback, o-line, tight end). A jack of all trades. He was tabbed with Rocky Mountain Special Teams MVP in 2021.
Nickname
“MJ”
You think we can convince anyone he played for the Chicago Bulls in the 90s and has six NBA champ rings?
Look-alike

Sticking with Adam Devine from last year.
Career Highlights
He played in six games last year but no stats–yet! Growth mindset.
2024 Prospectus
I’m not 100% sure what the removal of the ‘long snapper’ designation means. The Broncos are still using it (Troy Grizzle currently has it) so not sure if Mr. Grizzle is the only long snapper on the roster? Or if they just didn’t bother updating it for everyone else. Having said all that, Jacobsen will most likely see more time on special teams and mop-up. Definitely rooting for his success but we probably should be realistic in our expectations.
Is he on Twitter?
Technically yes (you can check it out here) but he doesn’t really post very often so it’s kind of a wash.
Completely made up fact
A coffee snob, Mr. Jacobsen only brews beans that he has personally roasted and ground. Nothing like a good ol’ cup of joe that you have personally put through the process.

So far the Broncos have 11 commits for next year’s senior class. Interestingly, only two are interior linemen; one on offense and one on defense. It appears to me Danielson is looking for speed; a lot of “athletes,” WR, and safeties. 247 Sports had the class, thus far, ranked in the high 70s. I don’t think that should be so bothersome. Danielson has stated the Broncos are a developmental program.
Well, he doesn’t look like Andy Devine.
I see a small icon for attaching an image but how does it work?
I have some neat images of Andy Devine.
