How’d he get to The Blue™?

Mr. Swanson comes to Boise State by being really good at football. He earned all-state honors on both sides of the ball. He was a first team all-state defensive lineman and an honorable mention as an offensive lineman. He was also the Three Rivers league Defensive Lineman of the Year as a senior. So, kind of a big deal. His high school career totaled 76 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and an interception.

True freshman for the Broncos so nothing to add here, yet. But he’s already got a pretty good resume from high school.

2025 Prospectus

As a true freshman it is super-difficult to make it on the field. Obviously not impossible but… difficult. In order of what is most likely to happen: play his four as a true freshman then redshirt; burn the redshirt but mostly stick to a third-string back up and/or special teams; light the world on fire and just clown on everyone and be the next Boise State defensive line superstar. None of these options are bad but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if he opted for number three.
