Travis was another one of the guys that came with a curious amount of Ivy League offers, with Fresno State and UNLV also throwing their hats in the ring. He made those schools wait for months while he thought about those offers, but committed just 8 days after the Boise State offer. How about that?
Nickname
“T-Rex”
This nickname is not a corporate sponsorship for Jurassic World Rebirth™, in theaters now starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. It’s simply a nickname that accurately describes the tenacity of Travis on the field, and has nothing to do with the groundbreaking film by Gareth Edwards where a daring team goes on a top-secret expedition to gather dinosaur DNA that will provide life-saving benefits to mankind.
Look-alike
They lookalike has presented wrestler Randy Orton for today’s lookalike. I don’t know anything about wrestling or Randy Orton, but for no particular reason at all, I will say this is a good omen.
Career Highlights
Still stacking days, but he did record a tackle in the win over Portland State. Plenty more to come.
2025 Prospectus
Secondary is a position where young guys often play, but where the room stands I wouldn’t expect too much there quite yet, barring an injury. He did log 4 games of action on his redshirt so it’s definitely fair to expect some action on special teams and some rotation, which will tell us a lot about what 2026 will look like.

Completely made up fact
When people see that Travis is a “Pre Criminal Justice” major, they assume it’s a kind of pre-law degree. However, the word “pre” here refers to what happens before the justice, which is to say that Travis hopes to someday be an elite, college-educated criminal.
Playing time as a freshman bodes well for his career. He looks to me like he can shake, rattle, and roll.
