Via the JUCO route. He played as a true freshman at Kilgore and accomplished enough in his two seasons there that he was named to the NJCAA all-america team.

As in, Worldwide Webb. Plus, 6’2″ lends itself to a heck of a wingspan for a DB. Aka a *wide* catch radius.

Career Highlights
In his final (sophomore) season at Kilgore, he played in 10 games. In those 10 games, he accumulated 44 tackles, 5 interceptions, and a forced fumble. He also had a couple tackles for a loss.

Jaylen’s length allows him to snag interceptions from such seemingly impossible distances that it’s given rise to a belief among some that he’s secretly Spiderman. Because it looks an aaaaawful lot like when Peter Parker snatches things out of mid-air with a web. And don’t look now, but…what was his last name, again? 🧐🧐
