Other facts
1. GAMEDAY
New gameday graphics person is on an absolute heater.
2. Depth Chart
Michael put together the depth chart article here. No notable changes there, but hopefully they’re seen on the field?
3. THREADZ
Another bad day for the blue-on-blue crowd, but the combo proved successful in the last home opener against a Big Sky team—a 52-0 thumping of Idaho State in 2015. I think that kind of scoreline would make folks happy.
4. Sold Out
“6 games, 6 sellouts” is off to a stellar start. We are missing an endzone (of seats, not the actual endzone), but the crane will give us a fun “Headlong Halo 2” vibe.
5. Get Right Game
Broncos have a 13-6 all-time record against the Eagles, but it’s been a while. Relevant highlights today from last year’s token FCS game.
Streaks
Boise State – Lost 2
Losing Team – Lost 2
Best Name On Their Roster
LB Samarai Anderson

Linebacker named Samarai is tough. Instant +5 on the NCAA rating.
Best Picture On Their Roster
WR Nolan Ulm

I would say the eagle’s nest in his hair is potentially a team spirit thing, but it might actually be a duck.
Players To Watch
Marceese Yetts, RB
The back was a bright spot for the Eagles in their loss last week. He scored 59 yards and 2 TDs on the ground while also leading the team in receptions with 7 catches for 63 yards.
Tylin Jackson, DL
The Junior DE took home preseason all-conference honors for the year. He’ll look to create havoc on a line that looked okay last week, but has some things to clean up.
DaJean Wells, DB
DaJean is EWU’s other all-conference player, this time in the secondary. Broncos will want to figure out their identity in the air in this one, so DaJean Wells is one to look out for.
Keys to Victory
Effort
If there was anything good that came out of that game, it was this video:
Effort
The Broncos simply aren’t good enough to win games without effort. Not to say the effort was completely devoid in game, but effort in tackling and effort in route running simply have to be better. I still have faith in Coach Danielson, but I’m hoping for something different.
Identity
Perhaps the most important thing the Broncos can do in this game is establish an identity on offense. While Ashton Jeanty was certainly missed in the box score, I’d argue he was even more missed as a focal point. They need to figure out who they want to be, and quickly.
Score Prediction
I don’t know that we’ll learn much about the Broncos in this game, but I can imagine there’s some feelings the team wants to get out. Expect plenty of fireworks and probably 7 points from EWU on some dumb broken-coverage deep ball.
Boise State 55, Eastern Washington 7

“Trucked like an illegal immigrant”, now that was funny
I’m looking at about the same score: 7 TDs and 2 FGs.
It appears the FG kickers may be sketchy. This would be a good game to march them out and let them try a couple of them.
I don’t think SD will purposely run up the score. But he will let his horses work up a sweat.
However, for the sake of showing everyone that last week was a fluke, the Broncos need to hold EWU to single digits and score closer to 70 than 40. (59 – 7)
