Other facts
1. What’s next?
Air Force is what’s next.
2. Injury Report
Injury reports have arrived, folks. Now you can divide your concern about injuries evenly throughout the week! Also check out Michael’s write-up on the depth chart for the week here.
3. Hype for the wait
Having a bye week this early in a season feels like a bye month. Excited to get back to action tonight.
4. THREADZ
My records needs some updatin’, but I do know we beat Florida State in this combo, so it’s a good fit all-around.
5. t h r o w b a c k
Most Air Force games aren’t fun, but I enjoyed this one. Lots and lots of Ashton Jeanty on Black Friday.
Streaks
Boise State – Won 1
Losing Team – Lost 1
Best Name On Their Roster
Reign Broadway, WR

Parents with a last name like Broadway have an solemn responsibility to give their children a name equal in weight. Reign certainly fits the bill. What does it mean? Reign Broadway? I have no clue, but it feels important.
Best Picture On Their Roster
Liam Szarka

I’m getting either Iceman from Top Gun or the bully from A Christmas story? Although you know what, maybe they could canonically be the same character?
Players To Watch
Liam Szarka, QB
Back again, Liam? While a less prolific passer thusfar than counterpart Josh Johnson, Liam has the current team lead in rushing touchdowns with 3, and is probably worth keeping an eye on.
Wade Harris, WR
Wade is the clubhouse Leader in rushing and receiving yards for the Falcons. He’ll be the guy they’ll use to stretch the defense. A good test for a secondary that finds themselves on trial yet again.
Blake Fletcher, LB
Blake boasts nearly double the total tackles of the next guy and most of those are assists, which tells you this is a guy that stays involved. Broncos have yet to establish the running game against an FBS opponent this year, and it’s likely Blake will be the one standing in their way.
Keys to Victory
Efficiency
You just can’t waste possessions against Air Force. When you have the ball—score. Giving a break for the defense and wearing down the Air Force defense will go a long way.
+1 Turnover Margin
Stealing a possession is especially important in a game like this one. Capitalizing on a couple miscues last time around in Colorado Springs made a huge difference and would certainly be a welcome sight this time around for a team that still has a lot to prove.
Score Prediction
I can’t say that I’m sad we probably won’t be playing Air Force for a while. I expect a fight, but I think the Broncos pull away at the end. Some key defensive plays and a healthy dose of Sire Gaines will be the difference.
Boise State 28, Air Force 17

Madsen throws three bombs and 312 yards.
The run game streaks for 225 yards.
The kicking game isn’t.
Broncos fly high 42
Downing the Falcons 17
What Bob said, only 45 – 21
I’ve noticed a lot of injuries for Breezy, sadly. I think we’re coming to the end of his time as a Bronco. This bye week isn’t a good thing. I have flashbacks of one month off before a playoff game. I expect to see some rust and to take a bit to shake it off. I hate this game. I hate this game. I hate this game. I might have mentioned I hate this game. This is my version of Schrodinger’s cat. I both win, and lose, at the same time. That being said, I think the Broncos eke out… Read more »
