How’d he get to The Blue™?

Plagiarizing myself from two years ago (nothing really changed from year to year, yanno):

Mr. Cox was a three-star prospect per 247Sports out of Washington. He was the no. 23 recruit at the time as well. Three time TNT All-Area First-Team honoree. Was good at football and that’s all we needed to know.

Career Highlights

Played in a total of 21 games in his collegiate career, starting two.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: two-time Academic All-Mountain West, and two-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete. Not sure what the differences are but mostly: he’s a smart one!

2026 Prospectus

This is where it gets kind of interesting. Mr. Cox has made an impact as far as playing time and seeing the field. BUT he’s only started two games (so far). So does that mean he’ll get more starts this year? Definitely maybe! Or maybe he’s going to be a career backup? Nothing wrong with that by the way. Tons of guys never really make it even on a roster. Rooting for Mr. Cox but also expecting more of the same.

For what it’s worth: last year I had predicted he was going to get a starting nod OR at least see every game and be in the heavy rotation since he had so much time playing his RS freshman year. And he… saw less time (GP: 13 vs 8; GS: 1 each year). Win some, you lose some.

Is he on Twitter?

Yeah but the last time he sent a tweet was three years ago. You can check him out here.

NIL Exchange:

Here you go.
