Mr. Hill was the no 9 cornerback in Texas according to ESPN, 15 per On3, and 21 for 247Sports. You know what? ESPN has always been my favorite outlet for these rankings. A family connection doesn’t hurt either as he’s the step-brother of Cameron Bates.
Hill also had offers from Washington State, UTSA (natch), Cincinatti, Colorado State, UTEP, Utah State and a few others.

2026 Prospectus
Jaden Mickey is returning and the other cornerback is going to be touch and go. Sherrod Smith is already picked as Phil Steele and Athlon preseason All-Pac-12 Second team. Derek Ganter played in all 14 games last year and picked as an Athlon Sports preseason All-Pac-12 third team selection. Demetrius Freeney Jr also saw a lot of time last year. So what does that all mean? No idea. It is absolutely possible for Hill to at least see some time, or he could wait till next year. If I was a betting man, given all the experience in front of him, if he does play it would mostly be special teams. Otherwise next year should be his time.
