How’d he get to The Blue™?
A five-star kicking prospect out of Union HS (per Kohl’s Professional Camp), Mr. Moore had a prolific senior campaign going 100% for PATs and made four FGs. I couldn’t find a recruiting profile for Moore nor could I find any other offers (I did some pretty basic googling but didn’t go that deep) so I am just going to assume he was too embarrassed to have to list out all the SEC, Big Ten, and professional offers he got (because he’s so modest) and just kept it simple by signing with Boise State. Great move.

Career Highlights
He made one game appearance last year against Eastern Washington going 4 of 4 on PATs and a 35-yard FG.
2026 Prospectus
Boise State only has two kickers on the roster (no, I’m not counting the Punters here). UCF transfer Senior Colton Boomer and Canaan Moore. Pretty cut and dry competition. Boomer will most likely get all the ‘starts’ and Moore comes in for blowouts, change of pace, or injuries. But odds are he will see more than one game this year so good luck Mr. Moore!

Completely made up fact
Moore’s favorite sandwich at Jersey Mike’s is the chicken salad with the hot chopped pepper relish. But you have to go a little light on the relish otherwise it just totally overpowers the whole sandwich.

He proved he could come in and replace Boomer. That’s good. You want the competition.
