The day has arrived, Bronco faithful. Let’s hope it’s a good one. Make sure to read the preview while you wait, and let’s talk about the man of the hour, Sir Dylan Riley:
#0, Dylan Riley, Junior, RB

Stats
Height:5’10
Weight: 203
High school: Rancho Verde HS (Moreno Valley, CA)
How’d he get to The Blue™?
Riley was one of the big gets of the 2023 class—running back by day, track star also by day (but a different time of the year). He took visits to Boise and Pullman, but our new PAC-12 foe couldn’t sway him from his destiny to be a Bronco. Me personally? I was happy with his choice.
Nickname
“The Jet”
As noted in previous articles, First Kick Was Good strictly forbids self-nicknames, except in cases where we don’t forbid them. This is one of those cases. After Riley moved from depth piece to RB1 last year, I’d say he earned the right.
Look-alike

I hope Dylan has the career quality of today’s lookalike, Todd Gurley. (But instead with the career longevity of Frank Gore)
Career Highlights
Riley was the hero of the Air Force game after Maddux Madsen’s injury, totaling 255 yards and 5 TDs from scrimmage—all while I was worriedly following the box score at a wedding. He took the RB1 spot and got the Broncos yet another 1,000 yard rusher en route to 2nd-Team All-MW honors.
To be exact, he finished the season with 1,125 yards rushing, 149 yards receiving, 12 touchdowns, and 4 tackles on special teams. (Dual-threat??) Very important to note that a lot of those TDs were bangers too.
2026 Prospectus
As of now he’s the 1A to Sire Gaines’ 1B, which is great for everyone—especially us. Word around camp is that he’s put on some weight and is expected to be tougher between the tackles to pair with his signature speed.
Now that he’s got a full year of reps under his belt, I’m about an optimistic as you can be about our RB stable in a non-Jeanty season. I fully expect Riley to be a star in 2026, and it wouldn’t shock me if he ascends to superstardom.
Is he on Twitter?
@dylanriley_24 is the handle (You bozos better not take @dylanriley_0) Real talk though, he’s got bigger concerns than updating his Twitter bio, such as going nuclear this year.
Completely made up fact
Not unlike many members of the Boise State athletic department (and Jay Tust, who I guess kinda counts as athletic department?), Dylan Riley has quite the sneaker collection. He’s got a good spread of Nike classics, ya know, 1s, 4s, Dunks, etc, but his prized possession? These bad boys right here:
