In a fact that does not seem real, Fresno State has now won 3 straight against the Broncos, and 5 of the last 10. Importantly, that means no Milk Can. Tomorrow night, the Broncos will look to win that back for the first time since they lost it in 2023 (2022 MWCCG did count, trophy is a regular season one)

Other facts
1. Gamedayyyy
2. Injury Report
Riley and Sire are off the injury report, life is good. The big question is Rasean Jones, all depending on where he’s at with concussion protocol.
3. THREADZ
Broncos breaking out the stormtroopers for the first time this season. Elite combo.
4. Bonus
When’s the last time a QB took out the hammer? At this point I’m expecting a Doug Martin hit stick from Madsen tomorrow.
5. Bonus Bonus
Uh, sure?
6. Remember When?
This game kinda came out of nowhere, but an offense that was otherwise anemic in 2021 racked up 41 points in a drubbing of ranked Fresno State. George Holani and Khalil Shakir went absolutely nuclear in this one.
Streaks
Boise State ā Won 4
Fresno State ā Won 4
Both squads have won 4 in a row after losing to a legacy PAC-12 foe in week 1. As you know the Broncos lost to the Ducks by 7 and the Bulldogs dropped a squeaker to USC by just 39 points.
Best Name On Their Roster
Logan Goodspeed, DL
Quite the last name for someone playing the one position not exactly known for speed…
Best Picture On Their Roster
Julius Gillick, RB
Jason Lyle from Coach Carter appears to have made it on the Fresno State roster?
Players To Watch
Rayshon Luke, RB
Luke is on the injury report, but is an excellent back if the field tomorrow. He’s PFF’s highest graded Fresno State player on offense and boasts 287 yards on 42 carries, good for 6.83 yards/carry. Given the gaping holes in the run defense a week ago, the Broncos would be prudent to stop this man.
Simeon Harris, CB
Harris leads an excellent Fresno State secondary, boasting 3 picks to his name and 25 total tackles. He’ll be a good test for Mad Dog’s interception-free streak, especially with the possibility of Rasean Jones being out this week.
Matchup(s) to Watch

Lot of green in the BSU offense vs. Fresno defense table (aside from our whole touchbacks-only thing on kick return). There’s a few different things you could look at, but I’ll point your attention to the money down success rate. The Broncos are one of the best at converting and the #1 best at giving themselves 3rd and manageable. Conversely, the Bulldogs rank top-20 in defensive 3rd down success rate. If the Broncos can stay on schedule, the Fresno State defense will wear down and I will feel very comfortable about this game.
Rants, Worries, or Wishes
Still Talking about Tackling
What did Spencer Danielson think of the tackling last Saturday? “Not good enough”. I’m not sure there’s a ton left to say, but my confusion remains. If you’re looking to be optimistic, perhaps a high energy rivalry game gives the requisite juice to conjure up Oregon game tackling.
Score Prediction
Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but with the amount of talk we’re seeing from Fresno, I think this is a game where the Broncos make a statement. Fresno State is by no means a bad team, but the return of Sire Gaines gives a huge boost to an offense that’s already seen steady improvement. I think the Broncos run away with it in Fresno.
Boise State 31, Fresno State 10

I’m not quite sure what to expect from this game. I suspect it will be close in the first half, then the second half will be a gradual steamroll over Fresno St.
The result? 42-17 BSU
I predict the score will be 25-20 at halftime.
