Notable Notes
- There weren’t any changes this week, which is actually kind of notable. The reason being that both Demetri Washington and Zeke Noa were injured against BYU. Demetri on the very first play–he didn’t go back in. Zeke did play a little, but he was very limited. Gabe Hunter, who ended up on the field for most of the game, still isn’t listed on the official two-deep. This doesn’t mean that either or Noa or Washington won’t miss time, but it does seem to mean that their injuries were not season-ending. The coaching staff never comments on injuries unless they’re season-ending, and then they make the changes to the depth chart. No changes were made. So…unless it’s a delayed reveal because they just medically don’t know yet (as was the case with Tarlas’s hip), it appears that neither is going to be out for the remainder of the season.
This should/could/better be a game where we get up early and a bunch of players not on this list get to some playing time. We need a smooth sailing refresher to get geared up for our last two season games. I know Nevada has a new qb playing and supposedly is showing some signs of life. They have some quality D players but I believe a lot of them are transfers and still working out how to play together. Although, we should be able to strike early on offense and suffocate on defense, so we can rebuild some depth through… Read more »
Boy, what a rollercoaster game. Big highs, and the lows…ugh. It was a good game, though. Hand it to BYU. They played really well. I was confused why we didn’t rush more when we knew their D was struggling with the D against prior teams, and then why we gave Hall all day to throw. When we pressured him he didn’t do as well. I don’t know. I’m no coach. The boys played awesome. The offense did great the second half. Now to Nevada. I hope it’s another blowout that will raise the spirits of the team. BYU was the… Read more »
