How’d he get to The Blue™?
A three-star athlete and the 59th ranked prospect out of highschool in Washington, Jack originally followed his older brother Cade to Washington State, where he redshirted in 2021. After both brothers realized the Palouse sucks, they entered the transfer portal and were promptly approached by Coach Avalos. Jack and Cade jumped at the chance to follow in their dad Harry’s footsteps, and committed.

While he has yet to put up stats in college, Jack was a two-sport athlete in high school, playing football and lacrosse.
2023 Prospectus
With Riley Smith being the old man of the TE room, Jack finds himself with a good chance of entering the playing rotation this season. The TE group is mostly Redshirt Sophomores, with a couple freshmen sprinkled in, so whomever shows out this fall has a good chance at getting snaps. Jack’s conversion from defense may introduce a bit of a learning curve, but he had all of last season to get up to speed.
