The number 44 is the same forward as it is backwards. That is kind of neat, eh? Anyway, with 44 Days till kickoff we have — EDGE Kivon Wright

#44, Kivon Wright, RS Freshman, EDGE

Height: 6′ 3″

Weight: 234 lbs

High school: Boston College by way of Manvel HS, Athens, GA.

How’d he get to The Blue™?

The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh away. In this case, it giveth a dude the Broncos had originally pursued out of high school until the former three-star recruit decided to go to Boston College. That’s fine, it happens. Just glad that, in the end, he decided to make the Blue his eventual destination.

Fresno State (ew) was the other school that he had narrowed his choices to for transfers.

The well is drying up on the creativity, folks.

I gotta go with a young Denzel Washington.

Career Highlights

He redshirted at Boston College.

In high school he had 23 tackles, six sacks, and a fumble in six games as a senior.

2023 Prospectus

If the universe is kind to us, a lot of tackles. The first game for the Broncos is going to be a huge test against, most likely, the most talented offense we have all season in Washington. So it will be nice to have Mr. Wright coming off the literal edge to put pressure all season. The EDGE position is going to be kind of crowded though. Cortez Hogans is in his six year and Gabe Hunter is a redshirt junior. Not to mention the highly-touted Jayden Virgin in the mix. It’s going to be exciting to see where Wright ends up.

Is he on Twitter?

Completely made up fact

Mr. Wright is one of those “outdoorsy” types. You know, going on hikes, identifying trees, really communing with nature. But you know what he never forgets to do? Prime his cooler with ice before he goes on his trips. No need to prematurely melt your ice before you really need to.
