Following the Broncos’ drubbing of New Mexico, Coach Avalos and some players met with the Boise sports media to discuss the win. Some of the discussion included the unexpected outcomes that have taken place in the Mountain West today and persevering through what’s been a hard week for Boise State. Coach Avalos also had an unusual level of excitement around Austin Bolt, his coming out party, and finally being healthy.

Avalos is out.
Obviously I was asking for this, but the timing is weird. We are in the hunt for a conference title. I don’t think this happens unless there was a lot more conflict in the locker room that we aren’t aware of. Again, I thought this was the right move but I hope it wasn’t player driven. That stinks to high heaven and I don’t know how you fix it.
Anxious to see who is on the list of possible candidates.
I agree with you, i think there was (is) way more going on behind the scenes that we dont know of.
Hope we get the right guy this time, Go Broncos!
I’m afraid player-driven hires and fires will be a major consideration from here on out. The portal has seen to that. And maybe it is a good thing. Players go where they have the best opportunity to win. And that points to Boise. Avalos was lame when it came to the portal. Who ever the next HC is, he must embrace it.
