There had been rumors in recent days that the University of Kentucky was pursuing Boise State Offensive Coordinator, Bush Hamdan, for the same role there. It appears that whatever attempts were made to prevent this from happening were unsuccessful, as the Wildcats announced him on their official X account today.

It appears that a number of players–quarterbacks, specifically–were begrudgingly supportive of the move. As are, likely, most of us. It’s hard to fault someone with a family wanting to (likely) triple their income. Coach Danielson has also signaled his support.

Hamdan’s departure does come with some details still needing ironed out. Specifically, the fact that his new contract had not yet been approved by the state board of education, which would have included a larger buyout. But, here’s a positive spin on it:
