How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Mr. Casey was a three-star prospect out of high school when he committed to Boise State. Oddly enough 247Sports only reported two offers, Boise State and Oregon State. He did a good by choosing the correct compliment to Orange: Blue. And not black. Gross.
Nickname
“Sunshine Band”
I don’t know how I keep knocking it out of the park on these nicknames. They just come to me.
Look-alike
I think it’s the picture/smile buuuuuuuut

Wayne Knight. Maybe Casey could play a young Mr. Knight in some sort of biopic?
Career Highlights
This dude is going places. You know how I know? Because of where he’s been. As a freshman he saw five games for the Broncos and only went up from there. To the tune of starting all 14 games last year while (as a unit) only allowing 1.14 sacks per game. The Athletic tabbed him with Second Team Freshman All-America honors, and he made All-Mountain West Second Team.
2024 Prospectus
Remember yesterday I mentioned that Green and Nelson are two different types of QBs? Pepperidge Farm remembers. I think that’s going to play a big role for the o-line this next year. Casey being “kinda good” at it is going to help but this is going to really change the dynamic of the play calls. Having the best running back in college ball (I don’t even to mention his name, you already know, but well, I’m going to do it anyway: Ashton Jeanty) is going to help tremendously. And most likely make the ground game go easy-mode. Casey already doing what he’s doing as a sophomore. Man. That helps me sleep at night. Look for him to do more big things (literally and figuratively).
Is he on Twitter?
Completely made up fact
When he isn’t dominating the gridiron, Mr. Casey likes to work with his hands as a, well, handyman. You need to grout your tiles? He’s your guy. Need to swap out the toilet? Give him a holler. Need your lawn mower tuned up? Reach out to him for some small engine repair. He loves to tinker.
