How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

Mr. Keinath comes to Boise State via the transfer portal. He transferred from Western Illinois, the Leathernecks. He committed back in June 2023. Boise State beat out UNR, U-Mass and a couple of others. Obvious choice was obvious. He had originally got to American River College out of high school.

Nickname

“TyKe”

Eh? Get it it? It’s both a mashup of his first and last name and also a funny use of the term we call small kids (tikes). I’m pretty clever this way.

Look-alike

If you squint juuuuuuust right…

Dan Fogler

Career Highlights

He hasn’t appeared in a Boise State game–yet. Growth mindset! While at Western Illinois, he appeared in five games.

2024 Prospectus

Everything starts with the o-line and having a solid set is going to be crucial, especially since the Broncos want to put together a magical run. Malachi Nelson is going to be different than Taylen Green insofar as the type of QB play. A lot has been said about the history of the o-line both fair and not. But being able to get the right combination of dudes on the line is going to help Nelson in his first year for the Broncos.

The offensive line (both OL and OT) feels kind of young? Not sure how to feel about it since there is one Graduate student and one RS Senior. That’s it. Everyone else has a minimum of two years (including this year) left with the Broncos (barring other stuff of course).

So will Mr. Keinath get the call up? It’s a solid: maybe? The time is now to get the right wins going into next year and really looking forward to seeing all the pieces come together.

Is he on Twitter?

Yes. But it’s being stingy and not letting me post it so here.

Completely made up fact

An avid reader, Mr. Keinath has set a personal goal of 100 books this year. Which is pretty admirable. But he only does high-fantasy books with at minimum 1,000 pages. He’s gotten through the Wheel of Time series (child’s play) and currently seeking even more.
