Today’s profile will most likely not be this number. But we had an opening on the roster that needed to be filled. So we might as well use one of the unnumbered guys. With 75 Days until kickoff — WR Cameron Bates

Stats
Height: 5′ 10″
Weight: 165 lbs
High school: Mansfield Timberview HS, Mansfield, TX
How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Considered a three-star recruit on the major recruiting services (247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals) Mr. Bates committed to the Broncos back in August 2023. Other schools vied for his services (Texas Tech, Toledo, and Sam Houston State). Bates chose right.
Nickname
“No Time”
Cause that’s how long it takes for him to get to 60 mph.
Look-alike

French Professional footballer (the other kind of football) Ousmane Dembele.
Career Highlights
Nothing on the collegiate level but awhile a senior at Mansfield Timberview he caught 51 passes for 909 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also notched 135 rushing yards. Mr. Bates also competed in track where he was second place in the Texas Class 5A 300-meter hurdles (he was also ranked ninth in the nation at one point in said sport). So the dude has some good credentials.
2024 Prospectus
This is going to be both a good and challenging time to be a wide receiver for the Broncos. Good: QB Malachi Nelson can make all the throws and should be a boon; challenging: with a ground game that includes Ashton Jeanty, are all those throws going to be necessary?; Good: lots of opportunity to grow and get better; challenging: Latrell Caples should be back in force and Strachan may be continuing his hot streak.
Cameron Bates may see the field for one of his four freebies. And I certainly hope so. But, having said that, it may be looking more likely that his services won’t be necessary for a bit.
Is he on Twitter?
Completely made up fact
Mr. Bates has an eye for the finer things in life and likes to curate art for museums to pass the time. You’ll often find him working in conjunction with local museums to find new exhibits. Should be fun to see what he contributes to the Boise Art Museum.
