Today, we start on the edge…of being 1/4 done with The Countdown and on the way to football!
#74, Joseph Marsh, Sophomore, Edge

Stats
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 230 lbs
High school: Oaks Christian High School, Westlake Village, CA
How’d he get to The Blue™?
He went into the family business, by following his brothers and father into a sport that led them to the NFL (Curtis Sr, Curtis Jr, and Cassius). He spent three seasons on varsity at Oaks Christian High School, where he had 108 tackles (82 solo, 25 assisted) with 14.0 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six pass break-ups, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one blocked punt in his career. He parlayed that into one season at the College of the Canyons. When leaving there, Coach Jabril Frazier convinced him to choose the Broncos over Houston, Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion and Utah State. Correct choice!
Nickname
“Swamp Fox”
Yes, I’m using his last name to make a connection to one of the biggest secret studs of the American Revolution: Francis Marion. You’ve probably never heard of him. However, it’s likely you know about the movie they based on him. Let’s just hope Joseph is as much a terror on the field to the redcoats from Fresno as Mel Gibson was in the movie to the ones invading South Carolina!
Look-alike

Actor, Jon Bass
Career Highlights
While at the College of the Canyons, he had 36 tackles (30 solo, 6 assisted) with 15.5 tackles for loss, seven more sacks, two pass break-ups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. You can also see his high school highlights here.
2024 Prospectus
It seems likely that someone with more experience in the system, like a Gabe Hunter or a Jayden Virgin will be first up at the EDGE position. So, while Joseph seemingly doesn’t have the inside shot to be a starter there this year, he has an opportunity to develop his game, build his body more, and get at least some playing time. With his frame, talent, and bloodline, though, look for him to make some noise in future seasons if he continues to develop.
Is he on Twix?
Yes. Hopefully you’re a big fan of a whole lot of re-posts.
Completely made up fact
Secretly Mr. Marsh wished that his family had been full of prodigies in accounting, but since they went this route, he has to go ahead and show them all what’s what in this arena. The pocket protector and Cones of Dunshire can wait for life after football…

Wouldn’t we be 1/4 done, with 3/4 still to go? (Mostly my math is limited to ten yards=first down)
Shhhhh. I can’t math! 😂
