Today is a good day to have 95 Days left until official kickoff.
#95, Max Stege, Junior, Defensive Lineman

Stats
Height: 6′ 4″
Weight: 264 lbs
High school: Cologne, Germany
How’d he get to The Blue™?
Mr. Stege came to Boise State all the way from Cologne, Germany (obvs). Stege was a three-star athlete out of high school where he played for a club team called the Cologne Crocodiles. He was also offered by Eastern Michigan and Houston.
Nickname
“The Legs”
I’m taking a LOT of liberties here when make this term fit with his last name.
Look-alike

I think he looks like a young Martin Freeman. You may recognize him from The Hobbit. This reference is from the UK’s version of The Office.
Career Highlights
So far Mr. Stege has seen consistent appearances in games, 10 games as a freshman and then all fourteen games last year. He’s got nine solo tackles, seven assists, and 3.5 sacks. Not too shabby.
2025 Prospectus
With Ahmed Hassanein moving on there is going to be a huge hole (literally and figuratively) to fill for the defensive line. Braxton Fely opted to come back instead of actually transferring, so that’s nice. But Boise State does have some well-known names with Virgin-Morgan and transfer Dion Washington added to the roster. This is going to be a good year for Stege to break through and become a mighty fine run stopper.
Is he on Twi/X?
Yep and his page is here. But, at least right now, it’s largely reposts. Seems to be a trend.
Completely made up fact
Mr. Stege being from Cologne has a straight pipeline to the real stuff that can officially call itself ‘cologne’. Otherwise we have to call it ‘sparkling smell-good juice’.

Stege is definitely a stud. I don’t see how a guy named Stege from Cologne doesn’t have the nickname “Stinky.”
[…] EDGE one side. On the other? TBD. A lot of good things have been said about the likes of guys like Max Stege and Roman Caywood, but I’ve heard Danielson mention Malakai Williams as well. We’ll see […]
