71 days is not as many days as 72. And tomorrow? One day closer. Slowly but surely! In the meantime…

Height: 6′ 5″

How’d he get to The Blue™?

Last name notwithstanding, it wasn’t by walking. Mr. Walker arrived at Boise State (presumably by plane) after taking a two year detour through the program of defending national champion, Ohio State. He went there as a four star recruit (per Rivals) out of high school. According to 247 Sports, he was the No. 2 recruit in all of Connecticut.

Nickname

“Big Mile”

At least, I think that’s what he said they called him back in high school in this reel.

Career Highlights

Nothing on The Blue, yet, but he paved the way for an offense that averaged 183.6 rushing yards per game in high school. Also, while he didn’t get playing time, it’s not insignificant that he came from a team that just won the national championship.

2025 Prospectus

The tackles for Boise State seem set this year with Kage Casey and Hall Schmidt, but with pedigree like Miles’, he could very likely see some playing time in relief. He’s also young, so look for him to acclimate to the system this year and then make some waves in the next year or two.

Is he on Twi/X?

It appears he is not, but here is the announcement of his commitment.

Completely made up fact

It might surprise some to know that Connecticut is home to some of the best pizza in the world. Miles, a connoisseur of the food, achieved the “Big” part of his nickname on a strict diet of two pies a day from legendary pizzeria, Modern Apizza, in Connecticut.
