How’d he get to The Blue™?

By way of the transfer portal out of Oregon State. Out of high school Mr. Holmes had offers from Air Force from the FBS ranks and Sacramento State with FCS and then Southern Oregon. Though he did have offers from Georgetown and Pennsylvania so he did have some smart options as well. He eventually walked on with Oregon State out of high school.

Career Highlights

Mr. Holmes didn’t do a whole lot while at Oregon State but is making his years count at Boise State. He played in 13 games last year and started eight at center last year. He was also Academic All-Mountain West last year as well.

2025 Prospectus

If he doesn’t start with the other OLs that I have mentioned before (Carreon, Randolph, and Kage Casey) I would probably be shocked. There are a lot of other upper-classmen on the roster in the OL spots so there will probably be some rotations through to figure out what they want the line to look like. But Holmes should be part of that initial mix. Barring anything weird supplanting Mr. Holmes, it will be nice to have a guy with double-digit games under his belt on the field.
