Career Highlights

After making it into only two games in 2023, Seth made it into 11 games on special teams last season. He even logged a couple tackles. Since the Boise State roster now lists him as a running back, though, it might be worthwhile to revisit his rushing numbers from high school.

His Hudl account doesn’t reliably play his highlights, but you can see at least a few of them stitched together here.

2025 Prospectus

There is a lot of talent returning to the Boise State offense at the running back position this season. At tailback, it seems likely that Dylan Riley, Breezy Dubar, Sire Gaines, and Malik Sherrod will get the majority of the carries. However, Knothe’s high school production was insane and he has a clear nose for the end zone. Also, his designation just says “running back”, and since he’s always had a larger stature for that position, it’s possible that means he will be filling in at the recently vacated Tyler Crowe spot, as more of a fullback. Whatever his role on offense, though, he will likely be a core special teams contributor.

This was the offseason of changes for Seth. Inspired by the change from defense to offense, he also changed from a Ford to Honda, Apple to Samsung, and from Costa Vida to Cafe Rio as his go-to fast casual place.
