Well this outcome was a lot better than the first game, that’s for sure. Which makes Game Balls a bit easier to write!
Writer’s note: Game Balls for USF was an unintentional whiff. Poor planning on my part. 100% my bad.
Game Ball One:
Dylan Riley

It was quite the run-heavy game for the Broncos and Mr. Riley did the thing by averaging 20.5 yards/carry (6 rushes for 127 yards and a long of 77). Mr. Riley also had a touchdown. That is wild.
Congrats Dylan!
Game Ball Two:
Chris Marshall

Mr. Marshall had a bit of a breakout game this week with four catches and 132 yards with a long of 46. No Touchdowns but MAN it is going to be great to see him get more stats. As Drew Roberts would put it, get ready for MARSHALL LAW! Or…. you know, something similar to that.
Game Ball Three:
Jaden Mickey

Mr. Mickey also had himself a day for the defensive side of the ball. He was second in tackles (with 7) only to Ty Benefield’s nine. The former ND transfer also had a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, AND recovered said forced fumble. I gotta say: it’s nice being on the right side of turnovers.
Game Ball Four:
Ben Ford

Bro had three receptions for 82 yards with a long of 60. And you know what else? He also had two touchdowns. I assume this means, going forward, he will score a touchdown 66% of the time he touches the ball. I am here for it.
Your Turn
Sound off. Who am I missing? The crowd? Maddux Madsen? Sire Gaines? Let me know.

I have to agree with the game balls. I don’t there was anyone else who contributed nearly as much as these guys but, Madsen came close. His receivers made him look better than he was.
Good choices.
A weekend without Broncos’ football is like… I don’t even want to talk about it.
