One quarter down?? Folks it’s really just around the corner. Today? Mr. Daylon Metoyer.

How’d he get to The Blue™?
Another member of the JUCO club, Metoyer was a JUCO all-American at Mt. Sac before making the move to the City of Trees. Metoyer spurned offers from several schools high in the FBS alphabetical rankings including Akron, Alabama State, Buffalo, and Eastern Michigan.
Nickname
“Big Lou”
First Kick Was Good has a strict policy of never allowing self nicknames except in cases where we allow them. This is one of those cases.
Look-alike

The lookalike machine has again recommended Randy Jackson of American Idol fame. Honestly, I think Metoyer could be a good judge.
Career Highlights
After picking up yet another academic all-conference last season, Metoyer checks in as a first teamer in Phil Steele’s preseason All-PAC 12 team. We take those!
2026 Prospectus
Daylon first started getting snaps in 2024 and turned that into 13 starts in 2025. It’s clear he’s a smart cookie, and there’s always opportunities to improve in Spencer Danielson’s developmental program.
Individual OL play is difficult to project/measure at the college level, but it’s looking more and more like he’s a player the Broncos hope to rely on. A healthy 2026 would likely see Mr. Metoyer anchor the line once again.
Is he on Twitter?
No tweets yet in America’s sesquicentennial year, but follow @CollarBlou just in case that changes.
Completely made up fact
Daylon is a fireworks guy. Fire warnings be damned, he’s getting the mortars and the show will be amazing (with a couple sketchy moments!)

This should be the year he dominates. There is no next year.
Meteor Man will dominate!
