Mr. Taleni had never played American football before signing with Utah, which is kind of insane. He played a bunch of basketball, which makes sense; 6’7″ people don’t grow on trees…because they are trees. He redshirted in Salt Lake and then ended up leaving there and coming to the true land of promise.

Career Highlights
As far as American collegiate football, not very much. He redshirted at Utah and didn’t play in his first year at BSU (last year). But I am going to just assume he’s a pretty cool dude, in general.
2026 Prospectus
Having a 6′ 7″ 297 lbs dude on the roster is just nice. If you were to press me, I think he could get some time in the rotation if he balls out in fall camp; if not on OL proper then possibly special teams. It would be really cool if he were one of those ‘diamond in the rough’ players. Otherwise, though, with his level of experience, it’s likely that he will spend the season as a deep reserve, with his glory days still ahead of him.
