Today’s pre Oregon press conference featured the usual lineup: Head football coach, Spencer Danielson, offensive coordinator, Nate Potter, and defensive coordinator, Erik Chinander. In it, Coach Danielson discuss some details of the depth chart but emphasized that even though it’s the depth chart today, it isn’t static and competition will continue at several positions; particularly offensive line, linebacker, and defensive back. He also talked about his position on players coming back from the NFL and recalibrating after the loss to Washington, with how jarring it was.  Coach Potter talked about new ways to utilize new offensive weapons and coach Chinander talked about his preferred time of day to play a game. Danielson and Chinander both had something to say about Roman Caywood‘s maturity and character with his organization of team activities but also his assistance to a friend with cancer that’s become a story. Those same coaches both also had a lot to say about Mana Tuioti and their respect for his family, particularly his brother who plays linebacker for Oregon, and his dad who coaches the defensive line.

Note: I know audio is the point, but still, apologies for the camera work on Danielson’s interview. I repositioned so I could set up a stand for the other two, but with Spencer, I was zoomed in between two people, propped on the chair in front of me with one hand, and reading the info packet with the other.
