And just like that *poof* we are in the 80s! The 80s (1980s) were a magical time of hairbands and a burgeoning MTV. Here, it signifies a milestone of Boise State football…time? Anyway, with 89 days until kickoff we have — EDGE Demanuel Brown, Jr

How’d he get to The Blue™?
Mr. Brown was rated a three-star recruit via 247Sports. He had 60 tackles, 12 sacks, and five QB hurries as a senior for the Wildcats. The guy can run a pretty decent 400 yards as well (you would need to break out the sundial to time me).
Brown had a bevy of interests from all over: Grambling State, Louisiana, Montana State, New Mexico State, Tulane, and Oregon State. Never. A. Doubt.
Nickname
“DBJ”
Succinct. To the point. Makes use of the ‘junior’. Truly a solid nickname.
Look-alike

French footballer Ousmane Dembélé. I think it’s the eyes.
Career Highlights
He did some stuff in high school (as mentioned above) but nothing, yet, on The Blue.
2023 Prospectus
The EDGE has always been a fun position at Boise State. While the ‘stud’ denotation isn’t on the roster anymore, this has somewhat taken that place. The EDGE position has some depth, to be sure. Demitri Washington is back for a 6th year. Jayden Virgin as a Redshirt Fr looking to come into his own. Gabe Hunter another guy with experience. Brown could very well see some time in at least his four games. Or he could have to wait his turn before he makes an impact. But having a speedster on the EDGE to get to the QB? Cannot be overstated.
Is he on Twitter?
Completely made up fact
Mr. Brown is very in tune with nature. Taking care of plants from an early age. Gardening. Tending to. You name it, he’s got a green thumb and can help it grow. Apparently plants have “eyes” and can watch folks? Hopefully he can tap into this power and spy on opponents practices. Well, if they are outdoor practices anyway.
