Happy Saturday everyone. Hopefully it was relaxing. We are in the last day of the seventies. And, to our great luck, we have a player fitting into this slot. With 70 days left we have — OL Kyle Cox

#70, Kyle Cox, Freshman, OL

Stats

Height: 6′ 5.5″

Weight: 262 lbs

High school: Eatonville HS, Eatonville, WA

How’d he get to The Blue™?

As the no. 23 recruit in the state of Washington, per 247Sports, Mr. Cox chose Boise State as a step up from his town of 3,000 but not too big.

Mr. Cox had other MWC offers with Air Force and San Diego State. Along with Army. There was some FCS interest but, honestly, the Columbia offer is probably one that sticks out in a good way.

2023 Prospectus

He’s a true freshman so… probably not much. Being on the line is rough. And, unless you are exceptionally talented, coaching staffs will most likely avoid throwing a true freshman to the wolves. Especially given the transfer talent they brought in to bolster the line.

If Cox were to see some time this year, possibly in mop-up duty? Or special teams? And that would be just to get him some time on the field and experience. I suppose there’s always the bummer alternative of injuries, but lets hope for positivity.

Is he on Twitter?

Yes. And supportive of his friends.

Completely made up fact

As a coffee connoisseur Cox prefers to roast his own hand-harvested beans and do all the fancy machine stuff. But Starbucks will do in a pinch.
