By persevering after a really bummer end to his senior season (he tore an ACL). If I tear an ACL (most likely just by simply standing up incorrectly) I would need to be put out to pasture. Mr. Mikita made the decision to get back into the grind an continue his career.
He was offered a preferred walk-on spot with Washington and Boise State. Obviously he did the right thing.

Honestly: probably more special teams and garbage time. The dudes in front of him on the RB squad are… good. And the hope is those dudes in front are going to do some pretty productive things. You know what? I hope to see a bunch of Mikita on the field when it’s garbage time but in a good way.
