Honestly, it would not at all be shocking if he declared early for the draft after next season, assuming he has the same kind of production and remains healthy. In which case, he will have nothing but goodwill and well wishes from this corner of the internet. But, in the meantime, he’s not going to be one of the poorly advised student-athletes left without a chair when the music stops this year. And there’s going to be a lot of them, because:

Jeanty could have gotten 5x that if he would have transferred. I don’t love NIL either, but the fact is that these are the rules. He still made an unusual choice by staying committed to Boise State.
Very pleased to see this. And excited to see him play in the bowl game and next year. After that, I expect to see him drafted in the first round and then in the NFL.
The fanbase was concerned both Green and Jeanty would enter the portal. That became nuanced as time passed: 100% Jeanty and 90% Green. I thought the same; Jeanty was gone for sure. For what it’s worth, lots of teams are losing players. I was surprised Oklahoma and Ohio State lost their starting QB’s, despite both being top 12 teams. It seems like there are a hundred reasons for players to transfer. Indiana’s entire offensive line is leaving. I wonder how healthy it is for 18-20 year old’s to move around so much. If they have legitimate reasons, I say it’s fine. When a team has its starting QB quit in one year and their top receiver the next, (both before the season was over) one has to wonder.
Tim Plough got the HC job at UC Davis, maybe Bachmier’s number is still in his phone contacts.

The running back position has changed dramatically over the last 10 years. Running backs have a shelf life in the NFL. Teams aren’t signing past rookie contracts. Too much talent coming out every year so he must protect himself. But right now the fan prognosticating is over. He left no doubt. Let’s roll baby!!!

Recently, Hamdan was very cautious when answering that question. He expressed little doubt in each one’s ability. He said Tiller could physically make all the throws and that Fulton knew the offense so well it was like having another coach in the QB room. I would have hoped that they learned from the 2-quarterbacks experience this year and would pick one and let them play. A bowl game against a decent P5 opponent is probably not the best place to figure out what you have at QB.
Then again maybe it is since UCLA has a similar issue at QB. Kind of makes this bowl game feel like a joke.
In today’s college football a lot of the bowl games have become a joke. 4000+ players in the transfer portal day one before any bowl game has been played. We used to worry about a few not playing due to early commit to the NFL. This is a much bigger monster. Takes a lot of the air out of the bowl games. Yessir!! Though I watched some FCS playoff action over the weekend to try and clean my palette and it wasn’t particularly good. There is a much bigger drop off in execution between FCS and BCS (or whatever it’s called) than I remember. A lot of those teams couldn’t execute a basic pass. A lot of straight QB runs.
