There has already been a lot of (digital) ink spilled in recent days about the players that were rumored or confirmed to be joining the Broncos via the transfer portal. However, today, the additions were finalized and Boise State now officially has the services of the players below, in addition to the recruiting class that was likewise made official last month

From BroncoSports.com:

Cam Camper, WR
The leading receiver for Indiana in 2022 despite only seeing action in seven games, Cam Camper started in every game until suffering a season-ending knee injury. His first collegiate appearance witnessed Camper catch 11 passes for 156 yards in the season-opener against Illinois which remains the most by a Hoosier in a debut in program history. Over his two seasons, he totaled 854 yards receiving on 63 catches, averaging 13.5 yards per reception in his 15 games played.

Jeremiah Earby, CB
After spending two seasons at California, Jeremiah Earby heads to the Treasure Valley after making 10 starts in 24 games played over two seasons with the Bears. He totaled 62 tackles, 17 pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions over a pair of seasons in Berkeley.

Malachi Nelson, QB
Malachi Nelson, the highest-rated recruit to join the Blue and Orange, was a five-star quarterback out of high school and redshirted the 2023 season at Southern California. The nation’s No. 1 rated recruit in the 2023 signing class according to ESPN, Nelson provides immediate needed depth in the quarterback room.

Jarrett Reeser, K/P
Making the Pacific-to-Mountain move across the Mountain West, Jarrett Reeser joins the Broncos after two seasons at San Diego State. He provides additional depth on special teams after receiving first team all-state (California) honors in high school and was rated as the No. 37 kicker in the 2021 class by Chris Sailer Kicking.

Tavion Woodard, DL
Woodard may have a leg up on all the transfers heading to the Treasure Valley this spring, having spent the past four seasons with new Boise State co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Tyler Stockton at Ball State. Woodard compiled 83 total tackles (46 solo, 37 assisted) in 42 games played at Ball State while making 28 starts. He was credited with 17 tackles for loss of 76 yards including 11 sacks for loss of 61 yards, three passes defended and two forced fumbles.

All five additions to the Broncos roster are expected to be on campus this week and available for spring practice.

The fact that Boise State pulled one of the greatest recruiting wins in school history shouldn’t overshadow the fact that the Broncos were able to add highly experienced help from the P5 at corner and wide receiver as well. Nothing is guaranteed or proven until on the field but those transfers, Nelson, Earby, and Camper, are all talented. Earby and Camper particularly have a lot of experience in the Pac-12 (r.i.p.) and Big 10, respectively. The other additions, Woodard and Reeser come with their own impressive accolades and accomplishments and will add value to the roster as additional options for their position groups.

As a whole, this has been a hugely successful offseason with regard to the transfer portal for Spencer Danielson and co. They lost (relatively) very few players to it, where many other schools–G5 and P5–were absolutely gutted by it. And, on the flipside, they were able to bring in some incredible talent. The position battles in the spring and fall, particularly at quarterback, should be ones to remember!
