Stats

Height: 6′ 3″

Weight: 270 lbs

High school: Argyle HS, Argyle, TX

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

Mr. Madrie was a three-star prospect out of high school and had a pretty good offer sheet coming out of high school. With the likes of Colorado, Washington State, Arizona State and Kansas (I guess that’s good?). But, alas, he did a good when he chose to come to Boise State. At least, we think so anyway.

Mad Dawg

Oh jeez, I am super-bad at this.

I’ll follow Riley’s example from last year’s Countdown entry and follow the alliteration, but since Mr. Madrie plays defense, I’ll go with: ‘Money’. Third down is the Money Down!

“Money Madrie”

Former NFLer Trumaine Johnson

Career Highlights

Nothing yet with a Boise State jersey. But while a senior in high school he had 78 tackles, 14 of those for a loss, and seven sacks.

2024 Prospectus

Madrie put on 15 pounds since last season (which I think is kind of rude since him putting on 15 pounds is considered a positive but when I put on 15 pounds my doctor yells at me) and should help out on the d-line. Last year getting playing time was kind of scarce but this year should be the breakthrough. For the defensive tackle group, Braxton Fely and Michael Callahan are the “elder statesmen”, as it were, being a junior and a graduate student, respectively. It’s aretty young position group but one that requires frequent rotation, so Madrie is ideally positioned to step up and make some noise.

Is he on Twitter?

He is!

But it’s largely retweets

Completely made up fact

Madrie was one of the long-lost members of Boise-based hip-hop group Mad Ro. But he decided he needed to diversify his portfolio as it were and play football. I am appreciative of that.
