It’s summertime for a lot of kids. And will be soon for others. But we are at 97 days to kickoff and that’s a good thing. So we will have more and more kids just enjoying the hotness. Yes, today’s honoree isn’t TECHNICALLY number 97 but we had a double-up and someone had to fill the spot. — Nose Tackle Howard Brown

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Coming out of high school Mr. Brown was rated a three-star recruit and had offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Tulsa, and Northern Illinois (among others). He eventually went the Iowa State route, as one does. After three years in Ames, Brown decided a change of scenery was in order and went to a state that often (for some reason) gets confused with Iowa. So he chose Boise. Which is good!

2024 Prospectus
Sometimes we all need a change of scenery and this could be Mr. Brown’s chance. Boise State has had some changes on the front line and his added experience (just in general) is going to be good to have on the field. The Broncos are in “we need to win now” mode and the Broncos have 20 players (as of this writing) on the roster that transferred from a different college/university/etc. Brown is going to be part of that equation so, one could guess, he’s going to make a literal and figurative impact on the field.
Is he on Twitter?
Indeed. Though he hasn’t had an original Tweet since December.
Completely made up fact
The ‘V’ in his Twitter handle stands for ‘VICTORIOUS’!

Do we know his status for the Fall? I was most looking forward to seeing him play when he joined the team but the NCAA said “No Soup for You” due to some Iowa State shenanigans. Was it a one year issue or is it still up in the air? We need his skills this year.
I want his nickname to be UPS because we will be asking the QBs and RBs, “What will Brown do to you?”. On time delivery but slightly damaged packages. Ha Ha
It would be kind of cool to see him in the Wildcat.
