Today we take a look at one of the MAC’s best over the past four seasons. It’s always nice when the Broncos pick up talent from other schools, and Tavion Woodard is defiantly that: a talent.

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

Tavion followed former Ball State defensive coordinator Tyler Stockton to The Blue after Stockton took up the role of co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach. Woodard had an outstanding career at Ball State, and decided to join the right BSU for his last year of eligibility.

Nickname

Tavion Lay the Woodard

It fits perfectly. Tavion brings it to opposing QBs, and he isn’t afraid to blow someone up. He really does lay the wood!

Look-alike

Isaiah John - Age, Family, Bio | Famous ...

I can really see this one, Isaiah John, star of FX’s Snowfall. Every once in a while, our Celebrity Look-A-Like Generator does alright!

Career Highlights

Tavion was a stud at Ball State, starting in 28 games and playing in 42. He has 83 career tackles, with 17 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. Woodard also forced two fumbles in his time with Ball State. He was named to the Athlon 2023 MAC Preseason All Conference team.

2024 Prospects

I think Tavion will get some pretty significant minutes. There are some depth charts lining him up as an EDGE player, and I could see it. He slots in nicely with that group, and should be the clear number two in that unit. Expect to see 52 causing havoc on The Blue this year.

Is he on Twitter?

You know it! Check him out here @tavion_woodard

Completely made up fact

Tavion hit all the QBs so hard in the MAC, that he felt it was too easy. He decided he had to come to the wild wild west, to really make his mark.
