Soooooo close until we can say “Only one month until football!”
#32, Bryce Cleave, RsJr, Safety

Stats
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 188 lbs (-2)
High school: Peninsula, HS (Gig Harbor, WA)
How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Mr. Cleave had some interest in other schools. Looking at his 247Sports profile, his only offer was Carroll College. Not a whole lot else to include, I’m afraid.
While in high school Bryce played football as a safety and a wide receiver. As a multi-sport athlete, he also played baseball.
Nickname
“Battle Axe”
I’m sticking with splitting/cleaving implements. Just because. Maybe next year he can be “Halberd“!
Look-alike

In the right light and from the correct angle, a little Boyd Holbrook…kind of. Maybe.
Career Highlights
He’s played in 13 games in his first two years (12 of which were last year), and accumulated 3 tackles. So, somewhat modest stats but you can relive his high school highlights here.
2024 Prospectus
Defensive backs are notorious for rotating a lot and you can basically never have too many of them. While Boise State has a lot of safety depth at the moment, that can also change in a moment. As things stand currently, I would imagine he gets some playing time this year again on special teams and as a reserve, while building up his experience for potentially more involved reps in seasons to come.
Is he on Twitter?
Yes, and seemingly quite happy to be a Bronco!
Completely made up fact
As a stitious cat (not “super stitious”, just a little “stitious”), Bryce eats exactly six pancakes for breakfast before each game. Seven is too much. The sugar high wears off. Five is simply insufficient. For anyone. This is America, people. Eat more pancakes.

He’s always had that paperboy look, but we haven’t had paperboys since the Clinton years –or before.
