Gameday Eve, everyone! JUST ONE DAY LEFT!
#1, Jambres “Breezy” Dubar, Redshirt Freshman, Running Back

Stats
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 205 (-6)
High school: Anna High School (Anna, TX)
How’d he get to The Blue™?
With a whoooole lot of fanfare and–after a late push from Deion Sanders and Colorado–a fair amount of trepidation that he would actually sign. According to 247sports, he was a four star recruit and the 19th-rated running back in the country.
Nickname
“Breezy”
Not positive where it came from or why he’s called that; I assume the long “e” part of Jambres? I just know it’s his Twitter handle and it’s a much better nickname than “Windy”
Look-alike

Current Ole Miss running backs coach and former UCF and Detroit Lions running back, Kevin Smith. The man whose 2,567 rushing yards in 2007 fell just 62 short of Barry Sanders‘s college rushing record. Here’s hoping Dubar breaks BOTH of those marks in one of his years at Boise State 😈
Career Highlights
He had an incredibly prolific high school career. As a senior, he racked up a statline of 1,619 yards rushing and 19 TDs (8.2 yards per carry) to go along with 346 receiving yards and another 4 scores. He was also a track athlete.
So far, as a Bronco, Breezy has played in 12 games and accumulated 335 yards and 2 TDs on 62 carries. A nice 5.4 yard average. Six catches as well, for 11 yards.
If you’d like to see the highlights that made him a 4-star prospect, you can do so here.
2024 Prospectus
Heisman candidate, Ashton Jeanty, will be the leader in touches for the Boise State stable, but Breezy and Sire Gaines are FOR SURE going to get a lot of touches too. It can’t be overstated how awesome it is to have so many phenomenal backs available, behind such a talented and experienced offensive line. About Breezy, Bush Hamdan last year specifically said: “I think he’s got huge huge upside here. I think that guy’s got a chance to be one of the more special players to come through this program”. This is gonna be a lot of fun…
Is he on Twitter?
Yes. And taking to the Treasure Valley quite well, it seems.
Completely made up fact
Jambres, tired of the smell of college dorms has formulated his own, homemade room spray. It’s become very popular, though, and he’s now selling bottles of it to other students under the brand name “Jambreze”

A lot of people are WRONGLY saying that Gaines is the #2 RB. They are missing the ‘OR’ before Dubar’s name. When there is an OR that means that neither is ahead of the other. It is a brute fact of linear space that one must be placed above the other in a list, but it is not fair to the kids to spin that into one kid being a better player. Maybe they flipped a coin to see which name is above the other. I personally think people are writing off Ole Breezy too soon. We’ll see…
wrestling with the concept of linear space..what would the units be?
I tend to agree. However, nothing is wrong with numbers 2 and 3 being of equal value. It is said, Tyler Crowe will be a blocking back but that guy can pick ’em up and lay ’em down. He’s not a Dubar or Gains type of runner but he will get yards and hurt people along the way.
change the school name on the jersey and suddenly this same group gets ranked as “best rb room in the nation”
go get em guys!
