From what SD said, Sire’s injury is not season-ending and he will be practicing. That said, if the injury was severe enough for a boot and crutches, he may be blowing smoke. After all, Breezy has been “very close” for four weeks. A word on Malichi. Some have wondered why he only played in the third quarter. Several years ago when Joe Southwick was injured; many wondered why Hedrick wasn’t starting to begin with.
A word on Southwick; he was a pretty good QB. In 2013 he had a 27 for 29 night.
Pee Gate seemed to overshadow the good he did.
I think we would stand a good chance at the “next man up” scenario but, it would come with some growing pains. Watching Nelson and Cutforth, both need that game experience. I did like the accuracy with the throws, however. As in almost every case, we simply won’t know until if, and when, that situation arises. Sometimes it takes that pressure to produce the gem.
Malachi will do great. Just keep the grind, face tough things in a healthy community, and watch what happens. There’s purpose and significance and honor in there.
