Prior to the matchup vs Oregon State on Friday, Boise State Head Football Coach, Spencer Danielson, met with the Boise sports media to discuss the upcoming game. Offensive Coordinator, Dirk Koetter, spoke as well. Defensive coordinator, Erik Chinander, did also. Topics ranged from Spencer Danielson writing personal letters to each of the departing seniors and being a big movie guy to why Dirk Koetter went shirtless with the running backs during the Wyoming pre-game warmups. You also get to see Erik Chinander get a little choked up talking about his players (Sheldon Newton, in particular) and what he’s grateful for on Thanksgiving.

There is something about playing teams that are fired up to beat you and ones that are determined you won’t embarrass them. The latter is far more dangerous. The team playing not to be embarrassed will hang in there. Their goal is long-term. The team determined to beat you will deflate quickly.
When Craig Bohl came to _yoming, his team was embarrassed his first year. The Broncos hung 60+ on him. Two years later, they beat the Broncos. And it’s been tough sledding ever since.
