It would appear that Koetter’s mad science plan for the last few weeks was to but the Beav”s asleep.
So far, so good…..
What the hell D? An 85 yard running TD? Good grief….
This secondary kills me. How do you allowcthecreciever to be all alone on that TD?????
Then, let them convert for 2😑
Need one touchdown to put this away
WHY
I for one am glad Koetter is here for justvthis season. His play calling has sucked the last four games. That last drive should have been Jeanty, Jeanty, Jeanty!
After Jeanty’s long run down to the 3, I don’t get two more runs from him. Should have tried something else to set him up for a TD run. Instead, it was the usual humdrum plays, obviously planned for, hence the reason they were so easily stopped. You can see they have 8-9 in the box…maybe an RPO???
Good way to get Jeanty more injured. We need him healthy-ish for UNLV/CSU.
Ok, calling #4 was a good fall that time.
TD #4 🏈🏈🏈🏈
Well folks, I still don’t get all the blather over Madsen or, as my son says, “Badsen”. He had a 51% completion rate. Sorry, I don’t see that as “elite QB play”. I felt like I was watching a slow moving sinkhole during the second half. I also feel bad for Jeanty-two nice runs negated by really stupid penalties, one of which was really suspect.
Let’s see; the second half winding down. Madsen marches the Broncos 75 yards for a TD, going 5 for 6. That drive took 1:28. There were three drops. Not drops in and out of the hands, but on the numbers, perfectly thrown balls. Two would have gone for TDs. Oh, yeah, a TD run that was stuffed, but he made it work.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, show yourself thankful.
A 51% completion rate doesn’t rate thanks. Overthrown passes don’t rate thanks. Show yourself realistic.
A good fan base and comments on a blog are best served when there are different and even opposing points of view. I am sure there is far more we agree on than disagree.
I have no doubt there is far more on which we agree! I’m simply not a Madsen fan. Flashes of good QB play? Absolutely! Consistency? Absolutely not! What’s more disconcerting to me is all the fawning over him and, at the pinnacle, if he’s starting, what does that say about the backups???
In other QB news, Georgia flipped Boise commit, Hezikiah Millander. He’s from Georgia, so that figures.
There’s a surprise. I was waiting for that one to happen.
According to 247, Millander is the 97th QB nationally and Georgia already has the 12th. Likely Millander has always been a Bulldog. The Broncos don’t want a guy whose heart always thinks about home.
I suspect you’re correct. Just my perspective but, it seems a lot of these kids will commit to one school, expecting the school they really want to attend to come in and swoop them up.
That WR speedster from Idaho comes to mind. And I can think of at least three QBs who were good to go for Boise and they got swooped.
Back in 2012 everybody thought Tanner Mangum would commit to Boise but instead the Broncos got Nick Patti. Boise gets all the luck.
It almost seems as if these kids commit to Boise, knowing the name recognition and respect the school has, figuring that will garner attention from their preferred school and get them snagged.
No matter, good on you. Always enjoy your perspective.
