How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
Mr. Madrie was a three-star prospect out of high school and had a pretty good offer sheet coming out of high school. It was populated by the likes of Colorado, Washington State, Arizona State and Kansas (which is actually kind of a good one now, weirdly). After all that, though, he made the right choice and came to Boise State.

Career Highlights
Mr. Madrie got some playing time last year in six games. With it, he accumulated his first two QB pressures and a couple of tackles.
2025 Prospectus
Madrie put on 15 pounds between 2023 and 2024. This offseason, he’s added another 11. It seems he’s really shaping up (literally) to be a significant factor in the defensive line rotation in 2025. Of the returning, non-transfer defensive tackles, only Braxton Fely has more experience than him. Some of those transfers (Mailoto, Washington, Latu) have more experience at their respective schools, but not in this system. That will be to Madrie’s advantage. Add to that the fact that he’s someone coaches often mention or are asked about and I suspect he’s going to get his chance to shine as a starter or at least a heavily utilized rotational piece.
Is he on Twitter?
He is!
It’s largely retweets, but here’s one that Bronco fans will appreciate.
Completely made up fact
Madrie once stared so intently and piercingly at a vending machine that it ultimately gave up and spit out a free Gatorade.

I think he’ll see some quality snaps this year. This will be his third year with the program. We should start to see some maturing.
