Stats

Height: 6’6

Weight: 267 (+5)

High school: Borah High School, Boise ID

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

From Borah? Well, he just took a right when leaving the parking lot, a left to Curtis, a right on Franklin aaand that’ll pretty much got him to Capitol. So, he got to the Blue via about 10 minutes of traffic.

…okay, he was also three star DL that was 1st team all-state and ranked by 247 as the no.3 commit in Idaho after 16 sacks and 23 TFLs in his senior year. No big deal! He never really seemed too interested in other schools, despite some mild interest in him. He committed a few short weeks after being offered in early July.

Nickname

“Roots”

He told Mike Prater when he committed “I was born in student housing. I was born to be a Bronco.” Ngl…that kinda rules.

Career Highlights

None so far at the college level, as he was a redshirt last year. However, you can view the exploits that landed him his scholarship here. Also, for reference, former Boise State defensive end, George Tarlas–also a Borah alum–had 60 tackles his senior year there. Trevor had 90.

2025 Prospectus

Coming off of a redshirt year, he will likely get onto the field on special teams and in some reserve capacity. He has size and a proven track record of production though, so don’t expect him to be a backup forever. How high he can fly remains to be seen, but he’s going to get in the mix as his Bronco career unfolds.

Is he on Twitter?

Yes! Check out @Trevor_Mck. He tends to tweet about…once a month haha.

Completely made up fact

You know how goat yoga is a thing? For some inexplicable reason? Well, Trevor was inspired by it to create his own, unique version of sports/agricultural cross training that involves bench pressing and squatting a platform of baby broncos. The small horses, while not exactly thrilled with the experience, are at least rewarded by getting in range of a pile of oats and apples at the top of each rep. Win/win!
