How’d he get to The Blue™?

Zeke was a three star recruit, listed as the no.1 QB in Idaho. He was rated as the #12 overall player in the state. His most major offer was Memphis, but he instead opted for a preferred walk on spot at BSU

Nickname

“Clank”

Mans was doing sets of five on squats with 445lbs on the bar, with uncoated plates. When that happens, there’s just enough bend in the bar that the weights can shift ever so slightly. This results in a very satisfying “clank” sound at the top of each rep. That’s his name now. I decree it. Because he’s earned it.

Look-alike

The lookalike generator was ZERO help on this one, but his smile reminded me of Marvel superhero actor, Simu Liu.

2025 Prospectus

The first few spots on the depth chart are solidified for this season, but does everyone remember 2019? Bachmeier went down, then Cord, and then Jaylon Henderson came out of nowhere to lead the team to a conference title. Also the QB depth chart in that single fateful BYU game in 2020. Anything can happen! But…let’s super cross our fingers and hope it doesn’t come to that and Zeke can just gain some experience this year.

Completely made up fact

If you thought squatting 445lbs for three sets of 5 was impressive (at a bodyweight of only 205), you might be further impressed to know that he did it just AFTER going to Tucanos and while holding his breath during the entirety of each set. Legend.
